This is Meerkat.
Crashing onto the scene with a raw, untamed energy that bleeds rock ‘n’ roll. Fueled by heavy riffs, punchy grooves, and lyrics that cut deep, they’re shaking up the status quo one anthem at a time. Blending gritty melodies with explosive hooks, Meerkat delivers the kind of music that sticks with you. Loud, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore.

About
Meerkat is an alternative rock band from Lima, Peru — built on dark aesthetics, raw stage energy, and music that doesn't ask for permission. Born in 2024 as a concept before it was ever a band, Meerkat fuses grunge, hard rock, and pop into a sound that hits hard and feels anything but local.
Their songs explore love through chaos, darkness, and intensity — stories and letters dressed in melody, never afraid to go to the brutal side of emotion. Runners-up at the 2025 Rock Battle among 450+ bands, featured by Converse, and now deep in the creation of their debut album, Love & Other Tragedies — Meerkat is a band on the rise, with a growing global community behind them.

I'm so glad the algorithm recommended this song to me. I hope that one day I'll get to see you live in concert in my country and be able to say that I remember your early days. From now on, I'll definitely be following your career. Greetings from Poland and best wishes for your success.

I am in love with this band! Everything about your music is so appealing to me - gorgeous vocals, rich instrumentals, and those melodies get caught in my head for days at a time! Not to mention the lyrical themes, and just the vibe y'all have. Absolutely flawless!

This band has no business being this good and only having 3k subs. This band is going to be huge, mark my word. They literally have everything going for them. The look, the sound, and most importantly the talent to be as big as any rock band out there. You kids don't let anyone slow you down. Can't wait for the album. I'll be rocking it proudly

That was very nice, Meerkat. I'll be sure to check out more. When one thinks of Peru, one thinks of Incas or llamas. None of that there, haha..
